Car hire: The most practical option for exploring the island beyond the Old Town and Lindos. Hire a car from approximately €30–50/day in shoulder season — agencies on the main road opposite the Old Town and at the airport. Essential for the west coast and interior villages.
KTEL buses: Rim Square (east coast services) and Averof Street (west coast) connect to Faliraki (€2.50, 30 min), Lindos (€6, 75 min), and Ixia (€2, 15 min). Frequency drops after 21:00.
