Club Med operates two properties in Greece: Club Med Kos, a premium adults-only village on the eastern Aegean, and Club Med Gregolimano on the island of Evia, a sailing-specialist club for those wanting a more active, water-focused holiday. Both follow the Club Med all-inclusive model - unlimited food and drink, organised activities, and evening entertainment included in the room rate - but they serve markedly different guests.
Club Med Kos
Club Med Kos sits on the northeastern coast of Kos island, near Marmari, approximately 35km from Kos Town. The location faces the Turkish coastline across a narrow strait - the proximity to Turkey means the water is generally calmer than on the exposed western coast of the island, and sunsets over the sea are a feature of the east-facing beach.
The village is rated 5 Tridents, Club Medβs highest tier. This translates to a higher standard of accommodation (private terraces or garden access on standard rooms, butler service on higher categories), a premium open bar operating 24 hours with champagne and premium cocktails included, and gourmet dining at two main restaurants including a Greek-Mediterranean Γ la carte option and a buffet with a changing regional theme each evening.
Activities
The activity programme is extensive. The Club Med circus arts school - a long-standing brand differentiator - operates on-site with trapeze, juggling, and aerial arts coaching for all ability levels. The watersports centre runs kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, sailing, and snorkelling. Land-based activities include tennis courts with professional coaching, archery, a fitness centre with group classes (yoga, Pilates, HIIT), beach volleyball, and a petanque area.
Evening entertainment is produced by Club Medβs in-house team of GO (Gentil Organisateur) staff - the hosts who run daytime activities also perform in evening shows, which run three to four nights per week. The other evenings typically involve live music at the beach club and a themed party night.
Accommodation
Rooms at Club Med Kos fall into three main categories: Club (standard), Club Premium (larger rooms with priority beach access), and Deluxe Space (the top-tier suites with sea or garden views and butler service). All rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom, and Wi-Fi. The resort layout is spread across extensive grounds, so some standard rooms are a five to eight minute walk from the beach.
From approximately β¬250β400 per person per night in JulyβAugust (Club room, all-inclusive, based on two sharing). Club Premium runs approximately β¬320β500; Deluxe Space starts at approximately β¬500 per person per night. Most European guests book through Club Med directly or via tour operators as a flight+accommodation package, which typically reduces the effective per-night cost by 15β25% compared to hotel-only rates.
Best for
Club Med Kos suits couples in their 30s and 40s who want a structured holiday with premium drinks and diverse daytime activities, without the family resort environment of a standard all-inclusive. It also works well for groups of friends planning a shared holiday - the communal dining setup and activity programme make it easy to meet other guests. The circus arts programme and the open bar make it a popular choice for French, Scandinavian, and Dutch travellers in particular.
It is less suited to travellers who want to spend most of their time exploring the island independently, or to those who prioritise a quiet, private beach experience over an organised village atmosphere.
Club Med Gregolimano, Evia
Club Med Gregolimano is located on the northeastern coast of Evia, the large island immediately east of the Greek mainland, accessible by road bridge from the AthensβThessaloniki motorway (approximately 2.5 hours from Athens). The village operates as a sailing-specialist Club Med property - its bay is consistently windy from the Meltemi throughout the summer, which makes it one of the best naturally occurring sailing and windsurfing locations in Greece.
The property is rated 4 Tridents and is open to families as well as adults. Activity emphasis is strongly on water: the sailing school caters to absolute beginners through to intermediate racers, and the windsurfing operation is the most serious in the Club Med Greece portfolio. Onshore activities include tennis and fitness classes.
The setting is more rural than Club Med Kos - there is no beach town adjacent, and the island location means guests are relatively self-contained within the village. This is a feature for those who want to disconnect; it is a disadvantage if variety of dining or local exploration matters.
From approximately β¬180β280 per person per night in peak season (all-inclusive). Best for: sailing enthusiasts, windsurfers, families with sporty children aged seven and over, couples who prioritise active water holidays over beach lounging.
Booking Notes
Both Club Med Greece properties are bookable directly through Club Medβs website and via European tour operators including Club Medβs own package division, which bundles flights from around 30 European departure cities. British travellers typically access Club Med through TUI or the Club Med website directly; French and German travellers through the Club Med package system.
Early booking (six to nine months ahead) gives access to the widest room category choice and early-bird pricing. Group bookings of eight or more rooms typically attract negotiated rates through Club Medβs groups team.
